–To celebrate the grand opening of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, designed by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the Latino Cultural Center invited North Texas Latino photographers to document their personal vision of the iconic structure. Also on display are the winners of the third annual Trinity River Corridor photography contest, organized by the City of Dallas.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

To get the on DART’s light rail, take the Red, Blue, or Green lines to the West End Station and cross the tracks to the Rosa Parks Plaza transit facility. Take bus 52 or 29 to Singleton at Gulden Lane, on the west side of the bridge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

–Santiago Calatrava’s sculpture Wave (2002) has become one of the most recognizable symbols of both the Meadows Museum and Southern Methodist University. Timed to coincide with the opening of Calatrava’s new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge over the Trinity River, this exhibition will commemorate the continuing symbiosis between the artist and the university. On display will be sculptures and works on paper from the museum’s collection, many of which were generous gifts from Calatrava himself, including several preliminary sketches for Wave that are seldom on view.\u00a0 Additional ephemera collected over the past decade, including correspondence, personal inscriptions, photographs and mementos, will also be shown.\u00a0 Exhibition continues through April 22, 2012<\/em><\/p>\n
